A 49-year-old man from Ireland had to be air lifted to hospital after a cycling accident in Clare.
The man, who is thought to be from Limerick, was taking place in the An Post Tour de Burren cycling event at the time.
He is said to have been involved in an accident at Ballyella Hill near Farone.
The rider was airlifted to Cork Airport and then taken by road to Cork University Hospital where he is currently recovering from his injuries.
Medical staff told local press that his injuries were not life threatening and that he is expected to make a full recovery.

A cyclist has been injured whilst taking part in a cycling competition on the Isle of White. He was taken to hospital following a collision with a car. Police closed the road and the rider was taken by ambulance to hospital.
