A cyclists from Scotland has been seriously injured after an accident with a coach.
Police understand that the cyclist was making his way down the A6089 to Kelso road when he was involved in an accident with a Mercedes bus.
The rider was taken straight to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is described as being in a 'serious condition'.
The driver escaped the accident with no injuries and there were no passengers.
A spokesperson for the Force said, "We are investigating the circumstances that resulted in this collision and would encourage any motorists who were on the road at the time to contact police immediately, particularly the occupants of two cars who stopped at the scene."
