Cyclist seeks compensation after accident with speeding car

A cyclist who was knocked off his bike by a motorist is now fighting for compensation to fund his rehabilitation.
The rider broke his collarbone, shoulder, leg and 6 of his ribs in the incident.
He has also attacked the lenient sentence the driver was given by the courts.
Halfords thank British Olympic cyclists for growth of sales

Halford's say that they have the British Olympic cycling team to thank for a pick-up of sales over the closing summer months.
Profits for the national retailer were down by nearly a quarter for the first 6 months of the year, but now its looking at a turnaround which they say has been triggered by a successful summer of British cycling.

A cyclist from Edinburgh who faces plastic surgery after a horror crash has blamed the poor state of the city's roads for the accident.
The injured student was cycling home from Edinburgh University when she hit a sunken grate and was thrown to the ground head-first.

Dave Brailsford, who masterminded the success behind the British Cycling team's performances at the Beijing and London Olympic games, has confirmed he will continue on to Rio de Janeiro 2016.
Brailsford who currently has two roles - British Cycling performance director and Team Sky principal - hinted that he might step down after London to concentrate on the road team with Bradley Wiggins, but the latest announcement confirms his commitment to the Team GB cycling team.

A worker has praised hospital staff who helped him recover when a serious cycling accident left him with serious head injuries. The man, a father-of-two, spent three months in hospital for treatment to injuries resulting from the cycling accident last year on his commute to work.

She was cycling past a junction when she was in collision with a vehicle. Cheshire Police closed off part of Sandbach Road following the accident.
